The Walker Guest House
The Walker Guest House is on the move. Originally conceived in 1952 as a guest house to a beach property, modern architect Paul Rudolph designed this structure with inspiration from Philip Johnson’s Glass House and Mies van Der Rohe’s Farnsworth House. It remained in Sanibel Island, Florida until it was sold at auction in 2019. Well, it’s for sale again for a clean $2M. Additionally, it was recently on display at the Pacific Design Center courtesy of Basic. Space LA. And, interestingly, interior furniture design contributions for the display by A$AP Rocky. This mid-century gem is now a prominent part of architectural history. Enjoy.
